생명으로 돌아오다

작가가 처음 나무를 접했을 때부터 나무는 단순한 재료 이상이었다.

나무가 일생동안 보고 들은 것, 격은 것들이 에너지로 남아있음을 느낄 수 있었던 것이다.

그는 한창 절제된 원과 사각, 질서와 혼돈의 이미지를 실험중이다.

나무의 아름다움의 원천은 나무를 살리는 물이 지나간 자리다.

생명의 물을 품은 나무는 죽을 뻔했던 작가에게 자신의 몸을 내어주고 작가를 살렸다.

그렇게 살게 된 작가가 죽은 나무로 살려낸 것이 물속에 사는 생명,

바로 물고기라는 점을 생각하면 물은 언제나 작가를 휘감아온 것이다.

Return to Life

When the artist first encountered wood, it was more than a mere material.

He was able to feel the energy from what the wood has seen, heard, and experienced all its life.

Now he is testing the moderate circles and rectangles and the images of order and chaos.

The beauty of trees comes from the channel where water has passed.

The trees containing the water of life sacrificed themselves to save the artist from death.

Considering that the artist has revived the life in water, the fish, with the dead trees, water has always been around the artist.
